- Since all the tours we offer are private we have the flexibility to discuss with you any changes you wish to make in the itinerary.
- During summer time because of the hot climate conditions in Greece we always suggest you to wear light clothes, bring with you a hat and sunscreen and make sure to wear non-slipper comfortable shoes due to the slippery terrain in the archaeological sites.
- Also we always provide child seats or boosters whenever is needed with no extra cost. In case there are children between the passengers and you need a child seat we can provide it with no extra cost.
Our one day tour to Cave of Lakes and Corinth starts by driving out of the city along the scenic coastal road towards west.
Our first stop is the impressive Corinth Canal where you can take pictures and enjoy the breathtaking view by walking on the bridge of the Canal. After 20 minutes driving, we will arrive to Ancient Corinth where you will visit the archaeological site and admire the monolithic Temple of Apollo, the Pirene and Glafki fountains, the Bema where Apostle Paul was judged, the Ancient Agora, the Ancient Theater, the Roman Odeon and the archaeological museum of Corinth.
We will continue our tour and we will keep driving along with the Corinthian Gulf and after 1 hour driving we will arrive in Diakofto where you will take the small train, the popular “Odontotos” (gauge rack railway), which will pass through a route more than magnificent. You will enjoy a very scenic route through the forest and rivers that will be unforgettable. The train will stop in Kalavryta village where the driver will be waiting for you.
We will continue our tour towards the Cave of Lakes. We will have a quick stop at the memorial that is dedicated to the villagers that executed by the Nazis in 1943. After a while we will arrive at the Cave of Lakes. This is one of the most beautiful caves in Greece, where you can admire the stalactites and stalagmites, which have formed after the passing of many thousands of years. You will enter accompanied by a guide and once you enter, the spectacle is breathtaking!
After you complete your visit there we will head to the village of Kalavryta for lunch in a traditional restaurant. You will also have some time to enjoy your coffee and walk the village. The tour ends by driving you back to Athens.
