  • Since all the tours we offer are private we have the flexibility to discuss with you any changes you wish to make in the itinerary.
  • During summer time because of the hot climate conditions in Greece we always suggest you to wear light clothes, bring with you a hat and sunscreen and make sure to wear non-slipper comfortable shoes due to the slippery terrain in the archaeological sites.
  • Also we always provide child seats or boosters whenever is needed with no extra cost. In case there are children between the passengers and you need a child seat we can provide it with no extra cost.

Our Day tour to Olympia starts by driving out of the city along the scenic coastal road towards west. Our first stop is the impressive Corinth Canal where you can take pictures and enjoy the breathtaking view by walking on the bridge of the Canal.

We will continue our way driving on the highway and through the Peloponnesian mountains after 3 hours driving we will arrive in ancient Olympia, the birthplace of the Olympic Games. You will visit the archaeological site and the museum, where you will see among other things, the ancient gymnasiums, the workshop of Phedias, the temples of Zeus and Hera, the Palaestra, the altar where the Olympic Torch is always being lit for the Modern Olympics, the stadium, the pediments of the temple of Zeus, the statues of Nike of Paeonius and Hermes of Praxiteles, as well as the legendary helmet of General Miltiades from the battle of Marathon in 490 BC.

After finishing your visit at the sites you will enjoy a meal in a local Greek restaurant. Our tour ends by driving you back to Athens through a scenic drive along the coast line of the Corinthian gulf.
